Bush-Obama America

Santorum Weaker in Bush-Obama Counties

Without a doubt, Rick Santorum looks like the better Republican candidate from the perspective of Obama hopefuls. Rick Santorum’s strong showing last night was not magnified in the Bush-Obama counties in Alabama and Mississippi. Mitt Romney won four of the five Bush-Obama counties in Mississippi and the only Bush-Obama County in Alabama. The results amplify the conventional idea that Mitt Romney would be a stronger opponent to the president in the pivotal, swing Bush-Obama counties.  Results from those counties are below with comparisons to the statewide percentages.
